We could go in on buy one get one geo trackers? Go to the other end of the spectrum.

The tracker/sidekick is actually mostly gunna be a wheeler for my tiff.

I think the easy answer is time and money.

Bob the bed in a few hours for a few bucks or flatbed is days and thousands.

I definitely prefer the look and functionality of a flatbed but appreciate the bobbed bed too.

I meant that with sarcasm I get it’s alot but also it’s a ton that will go into it. We will see this spring how mine goes. May be able to be more modular with it too and break it up.

I’ve not seen many flat beds that I really liked. Plus they don’t clear big tires well.

If I could do mine over…it would be a stock bed, bobbed front and rear plus doved in back. I’d retain the tailgate, bed floor and stock tail lights. It would hold things better and look cooler than my current bedsides that dzus on and off.

Hopefully you see one you like soon. I was just being sarcastic with that. Bobbed beds make alot of sense for a wheeler but for what I’m doin it doesn’t.

I’m giving my flatbed I make have a decent dovetail too it.

I was looking at Sami's for a while. Engine swap, etc. But, I really can't get into anymore projects, until I complete a few that I have going already.

As it is, I need to find a way to crate and ship the the cases for my Buell to the Midwest.

I was thinking sami at first but they are expensive for what they are. Ideally I’d keep only the body and everything else would be vw and Toyota

Maybe it isn't truck mods but self tappers, plastic shelf units, and harbor freight moving dollies make an excellent combination.

    Wheely shelves!

The NEK chapter of the truck mafia got access to a heated garage with a lift. Three trucks (mine, my buddy's, and Allison's) got some rust removal, woolwax and diffs/tcases oil changed for the winter, and I swapped to my winter wheels.

    20241124_131742.jpg

I got sent some new products to add to the rust lab, I used some of them on the truck and I'll prep and hang some test plates and update that thread when I get to it.

So I spent a few days sick on the couch spending money. My TWSS should be happy. Tried to buy a welder and it’s out of stock but could pre order for Black Friday? I did.
Also knocked out all the wife and kids shopping that I’m responsible for :D

I’ve been trying to decide if the jd pivot kit or btf fab/ solo LCAs with gusset kit would be better for me. After looking at the pivot kit, it has an aluminum skid and would need to lose or make my other skids work with it. Can never go back to stock, no resale value. If I just do arms it leaves options.
More homework to do for sure…

Almost turkey day, gobble gobble my friends.
