See a need, fill a need. Did some SWAG ing and eyeballed a replacement for my quill handle knob out of some scrap copper from an old breaker. IMG_7124.jpg IMG_7126.jpg

i just keep an eye on it over the winter/dryer seasons, and apply some coconut oil as needed to keep it from getting too dried out because that area doesn't get the normal hair/skin oils the rest of his coat does.
just be sure to check the rear suspension sub-frame. those were notorious for rotting out really bad on those.

    Good morning manly men :hattip:

Using the logic "a good breakfast makes for a good day" I enjoyed steak & potatoes for breakfast. :D

Hopefully it works for you too.

Good morning shop crew, happy thanksgiving eve day. Hope the ones that have to work (like myself) have an easy, great and blessed day. For those that are fortunate enough to have today off, hope your day is the same.

Turkey has been in the brine since 6 pm yesterday. I'm about to fire up the smoker and get the turkey on it before I head to work. Then it will be up to the wife to monitor progress while I'm at work

Years and years ago when I lived beachside I had some friends that would deep fry turkeys for people in the neighborhood, people would bring theirs over to cook and mingle awhile. Deep fried turkey with vinegar basting is the best way I think you can cook a turkey. I've never had a juicier bird before or since.

Deep fried used to be my favorite, it is juicy.

Smoked is now my favorite. I just take mine out of the bag and straight to the smoker.

Good Morning. Happy Pre Thanksgiving. Heading to the in-laws tomorrow. No cooking required. Strange request though…”You make the best banana bread…how about a couple of loaves!” Guess I’ll be baking. Might end up being the new tradition
