Haha! I'll mark you down as tentative for now and I'll check in with you closer to the initiation of the next group buy.

I suppose the studs you have now could be sold to someone who is planning to keep the stock bearings/idlers.

Can I be marked as tentative? I'd be interested to see the details. Tacoma is going turbo but my 4runner might inherit the supercharger.

Regrettably no - this shop doesn't have the equipment for it.

Fellas, I'm shopping for more power. Looking at the FJ intake.

Has anyone mated the tube to an Afe air box? I'm sure some adapters could be sourced.

And what about mating the tube to a throttle body? Pics show a reduction in the silicone coupler. But that would be for the 70mm T.B. on the Fj? Tube I.D. is 3.25" or 82mm. So a 76mm throttle body is probably the way to go.

I can order the whole kit of Toyota parts, MAF and plug included for $323.
Just need filter and a few misc.

And a 76mm Age throttle body for $300.
So what amount of gain could I expect?
2.6" pulley, open exhaust, cam gears, ...

    Also considering Meth.

If you are after HP #s.... I would do meth over that intake tubing project.

If you are after everyday driving (no refill meth, NOS, etc).... 2.6" pulley, cam gears, y-pipe, etc... all that before the intake tubing project.

Thats just what i would do...Happy thanksgiving!

To clarify, I already have the 2.6", cam gears, EL headers, URD Y pipe, custom 3" cat-back, Afe intake. I have 650cc injectors on hand for when needed. Still good on TRD 455cc.
And a Happy Turkey Day to you as well!

With the above, I would then do 76mm TB with a meth kit... Tune/dial it in and then regear (if you havent). And then look into the intake tube Retrofit.

I have nothing against the FJ tube. I just think you'll get more bang for your buck (meth and gears) when you're in Mexico :burnrubber:

If we are still after big HP #s, I think i would go 2.5" over the FJ tube in the scenario above... because meth.

I just used the coupler that came with the intake to mate to the 70 and the 76. You can get it on the 76 with some fitness without any additional parts no need to reduce anything. for the 70 you just clamp it down and was a non issue. I later ran it with the tacoma intake tube over the FJ. I want maxing out my MAF. Unless you hitting that point you may not see much from swapping out. I twill require a new tune from @JustDSM and team.

You will get more out of the open exhaust than anything else. There is much debate about whether 2.6 is worth it or not, as it starts to raise efficiency and heat issues.

agreed. the tune wont do much unless you nee more flow and your MAF is maxed out. I reverted to the Tacoma tune from the FJ but at the time it was still new and the tune wasn't working well at the time.
