I have a 2014 Tacoma and on a occasion when I stop quickly I get a clunk from what I think is the transmission. It's not a problem but I'm wondering if it might be a symptom that if I address early may save be bigger problems later. Anyone else get this clunk?

Tell us about the truck. Your profile is bare.

    Our guessing doesn't help you.

In the meantime, what makes you think it may be a transmission problem?

If feels like it's the transmission. Once stopped I feel a clunk approx 1-2 seconds after.

Shut your heater/AC off and drive it ……

might be axle wrap... try loading some weight in the bed. Also, check your ubolt torque.

For you there was a driveshaft tsb on stopping.
Also the “Taco Bump” while stopped is from the ac cycling.
