I don't know how the harbor freight boxes connect but I bolted a 1/2 inch sheet of plywood between my top and bottom boxes where the top is 1 inch wider. I painted the plywood black to match top box, unless your looking for it you wouldn't notice.

Cool. I've got a old 5x8 from Lowe's that's very similar for my quad. It fits nice and leaves just enough room for a decent sized cooler behind the quad. An extra two feet would be useful. I'll have to keep an eye out for when it becomes available around here. Nothing on the HF website yet.

Every time I hang my christmas lights I'm reminded that this guy is worth its weight in gold: If you're a big baller, battery electric is clearly the way to go, but for $35 full price (does anyone pay full price at HF?) SO worth it to not have to use a manual staple gun several hundred times if you already have an air setup. I use it with my little 1 gallon hotdog compressor at around 60psi and it gets perfect depth without crushing the cable.

I have this stapler. It works great! Sacrifice 3-4 staples while dialing in the pressure regulator and you will love it!

Most aren't aware that you need to adjust the pressure via regulator valve to get correct penetration or prevent complete blow thru.

I've got a garage fab project coming up and needed a decent metal cutting saw. This setup, $200 during BF is a smokin deal. This replaced a bigger floor model HF metal bandsaw I used to own and IMO it blows that saw away. To make sure I got the stuff before BF I joined their club ($27) for early access, the store is stupid busy on BF.

The only downside IMO is it's lack of a table vice to hold cutoff material. I picked up a HF drill press clamp that looks like half a vice grip and it holds stuff well.
I considered a metal cutting saw but the blades are expensive, they tend to spew chips and worst of all they're LOUD, not ideal inside an attached garage. Band saws are quiet, blades are $17 for 2 and the debris collects under the saw in a small area where it's easy to vacuum up. Usually they're large and not worth the real estate in a small space unless you use them often. This setup is about the size of my miter saw, easily stored away.

I squared everything up and did a practice cut on some 2x2" .180 tubing and it was surprisingly square when stood on the cut end. I couldn't ever get those kind of results on the much bigger (Red) HF bandsaw I previously owned. When this is setup vertical this has the same cut depth the bigger version ($400) has. I have to rate this my #1 HF purchase.

I bought the stand and the $99 5 amp hour battery that came with the free tool to get the bandsaw Wednesday. Also bought the Milwaukee thin and thick cut blades. I used it that night to cut tube for some DIY rock sliders. I’m really happy with it and I’m definitely a Milwaukee fan boy. For as often as it’s probably gonna get used it’s definitely a lot of bang for the buck. I must have been hurrying through the instructions because I completely missed it stands up too.

A couple of months back I had to buy a new bandsaw blade. HF had blades for about $11, so I bought it. Not impressed with the performance. It cut, but very slowly.

After being frustrated cutting some fairly hard steel, I went back and bought a "supercut" blade for almost triple the price. Now this one cuts like a blade should. I normally get blades from work which are Starrett bulk packs (I get the leftover pieces), and this new blade is comparable. The old blade has already been put in the recycle bin.

Don't cheap out on blades, it just isn't worth it.

Hey guys, I just received the badlands 3 ton jack from the BF deal and it's a really solid unit. Only question I have is did anyone else get an extra nut that fits the axle? After inspecting the jack and parts diagram I don't see anything missing but it's always concerning seeing extra hardware floating about. It's not a nylock like the other axle nuts, but I have no idea what it's for.

I did not receive an extra axle nut on mine, but who knows, it could have been a return or something else. Check out this thread. It is very informative.

Yeah, I went through that but didn't see it on there which is why I'm a little confused.
