Maybe a little bit of jewellers rouge & some crocus cloth. Still looks good wet.

I missed this the first time around, but I do have family in Singapore who absolutely love his merchandise so I’ll probably be buying one or two of the cheaper watches… if you want a perspective on the guy he’s kind of like Ken Jeong‘s character from Crazy Rich Asians, just a bit more flamboyant.

Assuming they even become available. They look like pre order vaporware right now.

One of my favorite watches. I’ll get one one day. For now, this is my everyday watch. I’ve had to adjust the speed on it twice due to chopping wood and other large shock activities, but besides that, she’s been a great watch. image.jpg

Both Rolex and Tudor on the wrist of a few people I know with quite a bit of taxpayer funded trigger time, plus exposure to other vigorous activities. I think you'll be good with either. Rolex used to be the issued dive watch of seal teams.

Are you thinking of Tudor? This is what I found once when I looked into it:
"Tudor diving watches were commissioned by SEALs via the US Navy from 1962, until the 1980s"

I've heard many times that Rolex was issued, just never able to find out exactly. The people I know from that era, and were in the military have told me they got a form of Tudor (they didn't know the exact one), while some DID get a Rolex diver of some sort, but I was told they would get the Rolex if they "ran out" of the Tudors. Frankly, as the are both Hans Waldorf brands, I'm not sure of the differences.

They also had Tudors for a while and I think overlapped, but the original issue watches were Rolex Submariners "MilSubs". Saw a youtube interview recently where one of the OG team guys when they transitioned watches went out back with a hammer and destroyed their stock, but I can't find the link to it. It appears the reference number was 5517 and applied to more than just Team guys, but some/all Navy divers?

Separately, UK MoD got the 5513 reference, then looks like the Greeks and the SADF guys piggybacked on that design.

    https://www.rolexmagazine.com/2017/04/us-navy-seal-sealab-submariner.html#gsc.tab=0

Ultimately, I wasn't in the Navy let alone the teams, and def not in the 1960s so IDK, just going on what I've been told/can find. :notsure:

    I miss the Tudor subs.

Their rebranding has been sort of a hit and miss.

I’ve had my 42mm Tudor Pelagos for one year. Great watch. Being a great watch it still has its flaws. The turning dial would break a couple times. Tudor would replace it with no issue.

The dial has been a known thing. With your Pelogus do you have the box and rubber straps?

Yep. I purchased it from a local Rolex/Tudor AD.
