I have a 2019 without CarPlay and didn’t want to pay up to upgrade to it. I also like a stock look as much as possible with no wires and extra lights. So I made this mount that replaced my air vent while still allowing the use of the air vent. It has an integrated MagSafe so it will charge too.

    That’s very well done

Can you turn off airflow to that vent? I don’t see how you wouldn’t overheat a phone with the heat on if you cant

I haven’t just because where I live when the heat is on I use the defroster otherwise the windshield fogs up. It would be something nice to add to it if I make another one

I have phone mount that is mounted onto that vent with heat on... no issues for during winter seasons.

I think one of the concerns is of the wireless charging makes the phone hot plus the heat. I can always try and see of course.

Nice! Did you 3D print that? Can you share the 3D print file? Also, what is the brand and model of charging puck?

    Nicely done!

    - But now you need to make a vent!

(That is my favourite vent for fresh air)
