Does anyone know the difference between these 2 toyota transmission skid plates. pt228-35241 vs. pt228-35244. My local toyota dear says my vin number which is a hybrid matches with the pt228-35241 part number and not the one ending in 44. When I try to order here on links provided earlier, I can't find the one ending in 41. It is so weird. I can only find the one ending in 44 and the note says may not fit my truck.

So I ordered this for my hybrid through Gresham Toyota under part 228-35244. I supplied them with my VIN and the parts guy reached out to me and said the correct hybrid skid plate is pt228-35241. He corrected my order and sent me this. Hope this helps.

It's an olive branch, but it does slightly restore my faith in dealer parts desks.

We have the Scans for a hybrid. We need a local hybrid owner to need a set of skids and then we can prototype that skid and test fit it.

Thanks. I talked to Brad at gresham parts and we will make sure to send the right one he said based on him talking to the DC whomever that is. I ordered both. I couldn't beat a $426 total.

I just ordered the Miller Cat…….for my TRD Sport…..had the catalytic covers on my 3rd gen…..great product……
They gave me 10% discount for Black Friday and free shipping……

I really wanted the Trailhunter, it was cheaper, BUT no access panels for oil changes was the kicker…..

FYI, the Sport model and OffRoad model have different part numbers and price…….the Sport model skid INCLUDES the Crossmember (for @ $30).

Anyone have any recommendation or advice on how I might be able to install a rough country skid plate with my miller cat shield? Already have the cat shield and the skid plate is on the way but I noticed it looks like they might have some overlap.

they may mesh together just fine but what's the point...
    No need for both.
If your set on the RC, you remove the other.

if you really have to have the miller shield, you can't make a cut & remove the rc part of the shield, & both shields will share the same bolts, if that makes sense.
Not saying that would be the better option..

I’m not sure I understand what you mean. The miller is covering the transmission behind the rc skid plate so I’d like to have both as a type of budget skid plate/cat protection system.

I should have the rc soon enough and will find out exactly what will or won’t work but it looks to me from the photos of both installed that I’d need to cut a portion of the rc or miller to make room for access to bolt both. Hoping that’s not the case but idk

3 skid plates finally installed. Here are some photos. I put some keyed bolts upfront also. 20241220_114206.jpg 20241220_114211(0).jpg 20241220_114255.jpg 20241220_114828.jpg 20241220_114813.jpg

Was the rear differential skid plate an easy bolt on? Looks awesome!

Yes, it was easy once they sent me the correct one for a hybrid. I just removed 1 bolt for a brake line that was in the way on driver side to help in slide the bracket in. The brackets aren't 100% flat. So make sure the shorter side is pointing outwards towards the wheels.

Can you give me the exact part number for the hybrid because that’s what I have? Thank you
