I see you have a DC , you plan on adding an aftermarket steel bumper and winch ?

 

Yes, plan on bumper and winch eventually. Slowly transitioning from jeep with 35s into toyota with load capacity and backing off on serious wheeling. The Taco is not going where my jeep with 35s and 30" of flex has gone. Good load capacity is key. My Leer canopy will balance the Dakar rears about 1/2 way.

 

HEre is my setup with the OME 886 coils and Dakar leaf pack and I love it. Way better than stock and great offroad. But I do have the ARB bumper and M8000 winch.

Good to hear your real happy with the suspension taco084gp. I'll get the bumper and winch, just not together with the lift. I'm still going to get the 886 coils and just deal with the stiffer ride until I get the bumper.

What tires did you run?
Any rubbing?
How long the lift been on there, does the rear settle a bit. IIRC, the Dakar leaves are supoosed to give level ride with a load of about 500# in the bed. Just wondering as I have OME spring over on my jeep (80's Toy 4runner front springs) and they have never settled a bit and I've worked em plenty.

 

I have run 255-85R16 BFG KM2's on it for my mud tires but now I run 245-65R16 Toyo M/T. The 255 were real close to rubbing but did not. I just didnt like the MPG loss and the re-gearing. So back to stock sizes now. I run a different set for Hwy use. They are 265-75R16 Toyo A/T.
I have had the lift on for about 2.5 yrs, have had over 1200 lbs in the bed and tow a 7x14 fully enclosed trailer with quads in it. That trailer totals about 4000 lbs. I have no sagging in the back end of the truck. But I run all 7 leafs on my setup. I do have a slight lean towards the front as like stock is. But I like that setup for me. Some prefer the level look.
Now the front has settled maybe a 1/2" but the back has not so far.

No compression of the 1200lb load and trailer?
Did the bigger tires ever rub at all since the lift is well broke in?

The 1200lbs in the truck was just that. I didnt have the trailer on it at that time. But it was level on the truck. The back springs are a great setup. Here is a couple of pics of the tire setup.

I really like the 33" tire without rubbing on stock rims a lot, a whole lot. No trimming is a nice option.

I found the following tires in the same size after about an hour search. Looks like some form of Cooper tire is the way I'll go considering I know my local American Tire can get them and I like his shop. I like the Dean the best so far if I can find it as it appears the least MT-ish. I think I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on this lift and tire combo.
