Few things I made today for guys. I sell the aluminum hub tools. They’re meant for Yukon/ford hubs as they are notorious for being hard to turn. This one the guy wanted wrench flats as well.

    IMG_7685.jpg IMG_7686.jpg

And then had a guy with an f150 reach out. He has a bed rack and wants to use a retractable bed cover under it too. The brackets with the rack were to narrow and need the bolts moved up. I made the brackets 3/4 in longer across the bed rail cap and moved the bolt holes 1 1/8 up. Bent them in my finger brake which isn’t ideal being 1/8 material but the swag finger brake has to large of a radius. Not bad for hand bending.

Not bad for a 20 year old torchmate cnc system. I did drill the holes to final size on the drill press but I’m still happy with it.

Foot petal on the press is so good, used it for truck maintenance but I will be making those brackets early this winter.

Helped install these badass fixture plates in the high school router… they trammed in nicely but the machine needs leveling and proper feet. I actually couldn’t believe the tram in x: +/- .002 over the whole 48”. Seems not possible. The long x axis can’t be that straight! lol!

Will need another light coat after this coat dries, followed by some hardware and putting heatshrink on the bottom 3 tabs. The heatshrink will alleviate any metal-on-plastic.

This was a fun one today.

    The original picture -

    The result -

I don't advertise signage, artwork, none of that for all those that know me because I have no graphic design experience or photo editing.

But if someone trusts me to do something for them, I'll always put my best foot forward.

What software did you use to make the doggo cutout?

    Little bit of everything.

Used a free site online for the background remover otherwise, I would suggest a photo editing software (if you have one and know how to use it).

Then it's a game of back and forth and creating the outlines for the contours using Inkscape bitmap tracing.

What I find sometimes easy to do as I do this with making parts is, using the patterned line function in Fusion when I want to see a geometry on something, but not fully convinced with using it. Then draw/trace as needed to create my final geometry.

Which reminds me, if any of y'all got a recommendation for a free photo editing software (with tutorials online) I'm all ears.

Decided I wanted some speed axle jacks. Calibrated the pic I found online and started to do a very quick trace using Fusion 360 free version. Using the 2 point circle tool I was able rough sketch it out in 5 minutes. Tie the circles together with straight lines then snip out the part of the circle not used.

I usually "draw up" a sketch several times. More for the practice and for finding a quicker way to do the same drawing.

I just wanted to do a quick post to the thread, since I had the 'puter out anyways.

I used something that was used with the Cricut die cutters to make the pet outlines, but I gave up on that machine when they moved to subscriptions. Pricks.
