Bob Marley called me a “motherfucker” after I threatened to call the cops. If you mean the elderly man, that’s not Bob Marley. Bob Marley is the son who pulled his dad off my truck, and seemed to think that having had a stroke made his dad’s behavior acceptable. If you are referring to the old man then yes, I would agree that he needs to be on a leash, or in a straitjacket…

Glad you are taking the truck to get an estimate at the body shop, hopefully not too pricey.

I do not have a flat, at least not in the way anybody thinks. There is something metal in my left rear tire and it is holding air, but the tire pressure light is on and it was driving me nuts. I can’t see my mechanic until Monday, so I tried to fill it up at a Wawa less than 5 miles from my house. The air machine is malfunctioning, and it proceeded to empty my tire instead of filling it; I am now waiting for AAA to come and refill my tire so I can drive home…

    :annoyed:

Harbor Freight 12v compressor has saved me more than once.

Takes a bit to top off. But beats a total flat.

I want to say there's one that is $20 or less. Bare bones but it's enough in a pinch and fits right under the seat.

While I was waiting for AAA, a guy noticed our plight and happened to have a portable inflator…

My truck is doing something weird, and I don't think there's actually anything wrong with it, but here it goes...

When I turn on the hazards, the dome light will start flashing in unison with them if it is on. If the LED Christmas lights are plugged into the cigarette lighter, they will also start flashing with the 4-ways when I turn them on. However, when I use either of the turn signals, this does not happen. I have no warning lights on, the truck seems to have no trouble starting, and it runs and drives fine; I think that there might be a short in the hazard switch. This is a fairly easy item to replace, but I have a feeling that it will be wickedly overpriced at the dealership, and I will have to source one from a totaled truck like I did with the HVAC controls. Any ideas?

I’d have to look at wiring diagrams.
But it certainly not normal, and add to the fact that leds are always on the verge of being finicky. So any small issue will be evident.

Let me look at diagram later.
Best I remember the dome and acc plug are not tired to the flashers.

Well, if it's not going to affect the safe operation of the truck, I don't really give a shit. It seems like wires got crossed or something...

Something's back feeding, do you have a trailer harness?

Check that for freys or shorts. This kinda weirdness usually occurs when a trailer harness converter box goes bad

Sounds like something is looking for a ground…..
Missing grounds can cause weird issues.

A wiring schematic or diagram would be helpful, something in there must be part of a shared system.

I was just talking with my dad how about 20 years ago, we would balk at the asking prices of older high-mileage Toyota pickups. Now that we have a Tacoma in the family for 15 years and I have driven it more than 200K mostly trouble-free miles, we understand why a late 1980s Toyota pickup with over 250K miles was so expensive in about 2004!
