Yup, and it was installed a little over four years ago...

 

Which is about how long those cheap quick taps last.

Even I’ve used them, but they tend to fail about 5 years in…..

I fixed many a trailers that used them.

 

I hate those things!!!

 

All the things listed are linked to the IA ground circuit.

 

Which would mean…?

 

Start checking wiring.
I’d start with the trailer harness like @Speedytech7 suggested.

 

Bad ground is my first move on any weird electrical issue.

 

Butch popped the dent caused by the guy who went Mike Tyson on my truck, for free I might add, and now I’m at Pete’s getting the tire patched…

With all due respect, the nursing home where I used to work can go to hell. What they basically are saying is “It’s okay for our residents and their family to assault you and your property unprovoked and with impunity, but if you fight back in any way, we will call the cops on you and get banned from our property!”

Amanda got a concussion because during the incident, I forgot to put the truck in park when I moved it, and she bonked her head on the right A-pillar grab handle when I hopped in the truck and slammed on the brakes; I continue to blame myself for this even though Amanda tells me not to.

Amanda had the day off this past Saturday, and I took her there on Sunday so she could give them her doctor’s note. In the meantime, I drove to the mall to pick up a coworker who takes the bus from the city. When I got back, I called Amanda and found out that she was filling out a witness statement regarding the Thanksgiving incident.

I parked the truck and intended to wait for her, but then she called me seconds after I parked the truck and told me that they wanted me to tell my side of the story. After talking with my dad, I initially told them that I refused to, but it ultimately went well.

I was under the impression that the police were not going to be involved, but apparently the wife of the 7-foot tall elderly man who attacked my truck was absolutely convinced that I told her husband that I was going to “whoop his ass” totally unprovoked and would not leave it alone. I only said “if you touch my truck again, I will kick your ass” after he attacked my truck. I also believe the son of these two mental cases, who I found out was a professional boxer, Mike Tyson’d the side of my truck as I drove by.

The nursing home is ten minutes from my house, and within ten or fifteen minutes of getting home, I got a phone call from the police department in the jurisdiction where the nursing home is located; I missed the initial callback, the cop left a message, and I called the number back.

The way the conversation with the cop started out, I was thinking that I would have to tell him that I was invoking my fifth amendment right and that I wouldn’t be answering anymore questions without an attorney present. Not that it matters, because I didn’t do anything, but I was relieved when the cop told me that no charges would be pressed. Relief turned to anger when I was told that I had been trespassed from the property and that I would be arrested if I went back.

I have never been arrested and do not have a criminal record, and I am not the type of person who gets “trespassed” from properties. This is both aggravating and insulting.

Luckily, Amanda will be leaving soon and we will never have to go there again; I hope that the tall elderly man and his family go after the wrong person’s vehicle and get a big dose of karma!

 

I wouldn't take it so hard man.
They issued you a trespassing warning.

In Tennessee, you can be criminally trespassed without a warning.
But in your case, it would be hard to uphold without a prior warning issued first. (which they just did)

Seriously, what you got was nothing.

I mean, why would you want to go back there anyways?
Sounds like they did you a favor?

 

Well, it would’ve been nice if they had waited until Amanda’s last day…

I seen it coming way back when you first posted about it.

They are in "defense" mode.
It's all about the money. Nothing more.

They want to keep the old man there for the money they get paid.
And they also don't want to get sued.
Trespassing you only helped them "cover their ass".

You and Amanda don't mean shit to them.
Money means everything....

Seriously, Don't take it so hard.
Move on. Forget about it.
Unless you go back on their property, it doesn't amount to anything.
