I’ve gone through a fair variety doing the same. For low recoil lovers, try the LITE. I have a mag loaded for my wife. My active has 1- pellet, 3 -American Gunner, 3 - Zombie Max, the rest are Subsonic. Essentially loaded for progressively worse conditions.

 

Anybody get into the weird world of driving shoes?

I decided that my Hey Dudes were comfy, but a little numb on the clutch. So I went a googlin and discovered that there's many, like many debates dedicated to this topic. What's the best driving shoe?

From what I can tell, the vast majority of threads (and there are a surprising number of threads, like seriously, way too many threads) most often mentions four. The Van old-skool, the converse low top, the Pilotti Shift, or the Puma Speed Cat. Of those, I just so happen to own two. I have a pair of green Vans for cool points, and I was gifted a set of black chucks as required dress code for a wedding.

And of those two, there's no contest. The chucks can rev-match with fucking surgical precision, and they're not bad at heel-toeing or lefty braking. In fact they're damn amazing for being a free pair of shoes that I've always hated. This weekend those black converse literally went from the dusty back-of-closet last-resort to my new favorite pair. They are that amazing on the pedals, even if they are crap at everything else, like walking or standing.

The question becomes, are the bespoke drivers like the Pilotis or Speedcats that much better? Or is it poser shit for people that have to wear Porsche branded jackets and ballcaps? It's got my curiosity.



Anyone else have a driving shoe, or am I into a new realm of nerdom here?

Sounds like Illinois, they’ve been in bed with the insurance companies and the farm bureau for years. More tags means more non-residents more hunters means more tags. You can kill as many deer as you want as long as you buy the tags, only restriction is you can only kill 2 bucks.
