Nothing major seems wrong. I got a power steering fluid leak. My Parking brake light is on. Had a check engine light on my way home P0101 but after i reset it it went away. My exhaust is looking much closer to my tire then before.

Dry out is going well.

 

The crushed-fiber underpad won't dry out thoroughly. Junk it.

P0101 is Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Range / Performance Problem according to the FSM, probably related to this:



Spray the sensor element with MAF cleaner. Spray the electrical connector with

$20 DeoxIT D5S-6 Spray, More Than A Contact Cleaner, 142g, Integrated Straw, Pack of 1

Deoxit D5.

 

Is this seal at the end of the CV shaft replaceable?


Mine is a lot crunchier than a new one, not sure how much ability to seal it has left in it.

It's a $50-$70 seal with no aftermarket equivalent P/N that I could find.

 

Yes for the 2013. Ouch. Could prolly buy shitty cvs whole for that price.

^Yet ironically when you buy exotic 300M chromoly 35-spline CV axles, they don't come with that seal

 

If you willing to wait, OEM Japan is only $8CAD and I have package getting shipped to me in January/February , can add more of them.

I stopped buying from Canadian dealers for that reason, direct from the source is much cheaper even after freight and duties. Just need to plan ahead when ordering as it takes months.

 

Definitely worth the wait.

 

^Caveat is ordering from Japan works well mostly for parts used in JDM Toyota models, which the CV axle is. Since the Tacoma (and 5th gen 4Runner) is North America exclusive, some P/Ns won't be recognized in the system or remain out of stock, like I found out trying to order wiper arms.

 

Same situation I got into ordering 2015 pro headlights. The model was never offered here so the part number I gave to the dealer just didn’t exist.
