Good. As long as it's an oily/waxy coating, you're good. Stay away from the rubberized products.
It really doesn't look too bad from the photos available. Keep it treated and you'll be fine.

I think you need to REALLY look next to the cats and tap with a hammer. It doesnt LOOK bad, but you need to do the tap test to be sure

I fixed my frame a few months ago by an authorized SafeTCap installer and they did a great job. When they looked at the frame there was a little more that needing fixing than we thought. Super happy with the work and they even treated the frame as part of the work. Here are a few pics of the work:

Yeh that's a hole there in the frame... The guys at brick city pointed it out to me after they finished the job. My heart sank dude and I didn't sleep well for a few nights. But it's all good, just gonna get it repaired and live with this expensive lesson

Yes, they did. Glad I went with the authorized dealer. I also reached out to SafeTCap and and asked how a shape becomes an authorized installer. They said their authorize dealers have to send them samples of their welds every year. The one I took it to said the same thing to me and let me know it's their fabricators that work on the SafeTCap.
