Progress report, I got into it pretty deep and it’s pretty bad. Those little fuckers really burrowed into it and it is in fact those damn beetles or at least the grubs of said beetles..
Gonna do whatever I can to save it, I’ll try and get more of the rotten material out of the way to gain access to where I need to add the pesticides (I got topical and systemic types for a 2 pronged attack.

I feel exactly the same way, thank you for the words of encouragement. I didnt't die.

Well I did have a chainsaw but those arent too sketchy most of the time when balancing on a ladder 30 ft off the ground. Fun times!

Super safe!! It's even 3rd on the list! Haha.

Well looks like bad news, I think the tree isnt gonna make it. As I was cutting into the crown the frawns would pull out fairly easy and it smelled very strong like fermenting alcohol which I don't think is normal unless the tree is starting to break down inside.
Bummer, was hoping I could save until I saw that and also that nearly all of the top frawns had thumb sized holes all along the bottoms of the base, plus I was able to dig out another 50 of those little suckers in various stages of life up to full sized beetles ready to hatch!

I don’t have any recommendations for shops, but there are quite a few plug n play options. I went with the Kicker kit(tacoma specific) and the install was easy and quick. Head units are plug n play as well, they come with the harness or adapter needed(i always order from Crutchfield). Save yourself the $ and install yourself.

Yeah man, still truckin'! Just not on TW like I used to be. On the Tundra forum a little bit though. Hey you going to Superstition this year? I'm on the fence, might bring my bike if Charlie 4x4banger and fam bring their quads out.

    Here's my current truck -

    Where are you located specifically?
    there's lots of options...
You want a deal & able to haggle, im sure their work is ok, Stereo Depot, 2 options El Cajon on broadways or by sdsu college.
Point Loma, Street Noyz, my truck is there now & all next week.....
Al & Eds in Point Loma, quality work but dont expect any deals, they also have a vista location, avoid la mesa at all costs as kid who runs the show is, never mind.....
Santee Audiolux, they specialize in helix, audison, hertz, etc but can get anything...
Another deal / haggle spot by la mesa / sdsu, Sound Diego, they have been there for years & back in the day the dad sold hifonics amps & stereo equipment from Kolby's swap meet, they have focal, jl, etc....
list goes on, need to know where your at!!!!
    pm me if you want....
