Sometimes people have trouble understanding my southwest Virginia talk!

 

Guy who installs Generac generators ask me to build him a couple stands. He sent me dimensions, to make sure I understood him right I made a prototype with CAD. Cardboard Assisted Design.

You know, I never really thought about it, but I say both pee-con and pah-con and I'm not sure why! Or when!

I talked to my wife about this tonight. She said, and I agree, that we normally say pah-con.

Unless it's about the pie, then it's pee-can, specifically said with a Southern accent.

I guess it’s mostly Pi Khan

But have been know to say Pea Khan. My Step mother from Georgia would yell at me if it was anything but Pee Can. But if you ask my boys a Pee Can is the 24oz wide mouth bottle of Gatorade that each of them would get at the first fill up after leaving for a long trip. “Finish up boys you’re gonna need that in a few hours when there are no rest stops and it’s too soon to stop for gas”

 

As a proud Kentuckian, I never understood this word. The states don't touch?
