Hmmm, at 15 we're getting 'em for 390... plus nearly all of us ordered a ton more stuff so the shipping is pretty spread out. And we helped out fellow forum members... so for 25-50$ i may have stayed in the GB, but that's just me. It's your wallet and i respect that.
Edit* remembered that you were getting JUST the leaf's...

Actually, if I had already committed to a group buy that would not only help me out, but others as well, I would have stayed in the group buy. But that's just me I guess.

Awesome. Good job holding it together despite the odds and obstacles, people.

And Dan, uh, not ure how to break this, but we can't talk about rep.

So, uh, after you finish processing the GB, you may have to be banned, along with everyone else in this thread...:smash:

Actually I got the leafs and the frame bushing things and thats is the price installed . Apparently he had someone order and pay for it all and then decide to go a different route and had it sitting around so thats when he thought of me. So yes it was a deal I couldnt pass up. SRD you're entitled to your opinion but Im sure you would have done it if you were in my shoes or at least thought hard about it. I dont really care what you or any of the others say or think about it. Some of us dont have a whole lot of money to spend right now so when I could save that much Im gonna do it.

Thank you for all your patience Dan, I know that this group is quite the handful.

Thanks everyone for following through and helping get this all sorted out (except for those schmucks who ditched us for a buck...)

Anyways, I'm looking forward to this next week. Does anyone have a good writeup on how to install the leaf packs or do I have to dig out the Chilton's?

OK, listen up all you derpa-derps.

Several very helpful install links are at the ready for you here:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1s...y-how-thread-compiled-list-helpful-links.html

I really hope that you folks checked out your main eye bolts (front leaf bolt) to see if they are rusted/seized. This is very common. It is cheap insurance to order them from Dan so you have them on hand whether you end up needing them or not. Not easy to find the right size locally, and you could be stuck without them. May require sawzall or angle grinder to get them off on high-mileage/rust-belt trucks.

    Got PB Blaster?

You can also download the FSM from this site. I've attached the component diagram, which has all torque specs. Note the rear shackles; it is a bracket assembly, not individual bolts...

    Have fun!

found that out the hard way:eek:

Also my truck doesn't have a spec of rust on it and one of my main eye bolts was almost seized in there. I had to press it out with some channel locks because the gas tank is in the way to hammer it.
    Just a heads up...

I've started PB Blasting all the hardware allready. Been toying with the idea of removing the nuts from the Main Eye Bolts and hosing the interior down with PB Blaster. I haven't done that yet for fear of shearing off one of the bolts and not having the hardware to replace it with.
Can't hardly wait for the parts to ship. I'm so excited!!!!!

Thanks Dan for letting me fill a spot that was vacated (way after the ending date)! I can't wait to get the new suspension installed. As for rust,15 years in Ohio the bottom is covered with it.(But not in the frame)LOL. Just need to pick up a case or two of PB Blaser and maybe a plasma cutter! Seriously Dan and Wheelers are top shelf, and I would happily do business with them again!

I doubt you would have a problem getting the nut off, its getting the bolt out of the old leaf springs thats the problem.
