I keep both thermostats for the boiler at 63°. The basement has an electric baseboard heater I keep on 55°. If I bump it up 5° it increases my bill $50-$75

 

Still hovering around $2.60 a gallon. Waiting for it to spike in a month when I order more fuel

 

Speaking of , we got our property taxes in the mail.. 1,542$. Sheeesh

 

Ours is paid through our mortgage, I know you don't have one though


We do have to pay property tax on vehicles and trailers this week

 

I've been natural gassing for a while.

My furnace is running, too.

 

I would LOVE for my taxes to be that low...

 

We had natural gas at the old house, I liked it. Got on equal payment plan and it wasn't that bad.

 

Oooof, I forgot VA does that personal property crap. Thought about West Virginia when I was looking at houses, but they tax every darn thing even each dog you have

Yeah. They send a from wanting you to put all kinds of stuff on it so they can tax it, again, and again. N.C. is the same way.

 

Not sure how to feel about all that. I mean, my total property taxes on my house with homestead exemption is $2600, but I don't have to claim anything else. Just got the registration renewal for the Camry and it's only $95 for 2 years.

 

That's more than double ours with house, shop, and almost 10 acres


My wife's 2021 Honda Passport property tax is more than my Civic, Duramax, and 3 trailers.....combined

 

Friend of mine is a Winston fireman, one of their ladder trucks turned over this morning.

 

I forgot here in PA on top of state income tax, there's a 1% yearly local tax. So, that's a nice extra tax I deal with every year

 

That’s horrible, I hope no one was hurt..

 

Hope the guys are Ok & not going to a call. Double whammy then.
