anyone got a fix for the squeaky driver window switch panel? now that it's cold its making a racket

 

Yeah when mine 1st popped out, the noise it made in the garage, I thought for sure I had broke something, then I looked at it and saw the bottom gromet thingy and really thought I broke it, when the other side did the same thing, I took a better look and was relieved it was ok... And yes, it is easier to dig a toy out of my Pitbull's mouth then it was popping the taillamps out...

 

Had to add a front plate to my “new to me” 2023. I decided the OEM mount was too bulky. So I made my own.

 

Took advantage of more sales and replaced my original OEM battery with a 24F Duracell Ultra from Batteries Plus.

 

Got my (mostly) new suspension put in over the holiday weekend with some assistance from my dad. Even though I offered him the crucial role of project manager, he insisted on being more hands-on which was a huge help. It was great working with him and truthfully it wouldnt have gone as easily as it did, or be as fun, without his wisdom and side comments.

Front is the mostly new part. A fellow forum member hooked it up with a set of 5100s/OME 887s that he ran for 3k miles and only swapped out due to installing a new front bumper/winch


Rear is Icon RXT leafs set to option 2, paired with Eibach shocks


The new setup gave the truck 2 inches lift in front and about 2.2 in the rear, along with a much much better ride than stock. At 116,800 miles this refresh was way overdue! Now just need to get some bigger tires....

 

When I first got my truck a friend followed me home and complained about the dim tail lights. They were aftermarket LED and ugly.

I got some others (LED) and when I went to replace them, the lights had fallen out of the sockets in the ugly ones. Other clues led me to believe that whoever installed them was an idiot but I guess I should check them now and then...

So you replaced the whole assembly with aftermarket?

 

Yes. Just picked some I liked on Amzn. They were around $100 for the pair.

I really disliked the ones on it and they appeared to have lots of salt dust in them.

I guess after 70k miles I should have serviced this with 75/90 gear oil. So I'll be doing that this next weekend

My 2017 TRD Pro MT didn't need much. Seat Jackers and a SaBellCo tailgate lock, and a spare lock, that's it.

 

On my drive back from Ohio Thanksgiving weekend, I stopped in my tracks, on a Georgia freeway, I75 south, just to take in the breath taking scenery. Too bad it only took 1.5 hours to clear the wrecks that were affording this scenic opportunity this past 12/1/2024....
