4 Low Light Flashing but Engaged

Orange light is flashing when I engage 4 low (4 high does not flash and locks in). Hear a click when engaging 4 low and definitely seems to be locked based on reduced speed but orange 4 low light flashes on and off. Appreciate some responses!

 

Check your limit switch voltages as outlined in the thread below and post your results, I suspect we have a limit switch or circuit not working properly.

Are you the original owner? Is it possible a "yellow wire mod" has been done to enable the LSD when in 4-low? This would result in the light blinking.

 

@MR5X5 I did do the yellow wire mod. Will it cause it to blink even though the switch is not thrown?

 

With the yellow wire mod it will blink when engaged in 4 low. All other LSD operation states should be "as normal."

 

@MR5X5, great! Looks as if there is no issue. Thanks for the info, never knew that mod could effect the display like that. Cross off a visit to the dealer!!! Have a stock vehicle same year and it doesnt blink.
