Yeah, and that access gets nuked once the dipshits on these use the electric torque to hoon around and destroy trails.

Possible, and damn sure could see it happening. I just find the EV tech on two wheels interesting. I don’t see myself spending 10k on an electric bike though.

I want to ride a stark bad. But I'm not at a 10k drop price on one either. I just got the pre-sale email for the dust a bit ago.

Look at the videos of the e-bikes that are out there. Guys taking them into parks and stuff that are closed to motorized traffic and saying "but it's a bicycle" like they aren't intentionally blasting by people super close to get reactions.

No matter how cool it is or how it could be used well, some fuck up who should have been a back rub will come along and give the karens all the ammo they need to shut it down.

I agree without a doubt. I’ve seen E-bikes on beaches.. just wondering how long that will last before someone get hit by one.

SO many of the e-bike companies have shut their doors after a year or two. I don't have the money to buy one, but someday would love one, but can't see myself buying one from a startup. They're all just failing too much still for me to have any confidence in support down the road. Especially concerning when it comes to finding a replacement battery in five or ten or fifteen years. Once the battery is toast it's not like a bearing where you can source a non-oem one, you'd be screwed.

Agree also. Id hate to buy a bike only for the brand to disappear like alta. I feel like stark has made pretty good image for themselves now that they'll be around.

Dust i think is still built by a couple of people in a "garage". There weren't any specs (brand) on suspension or brakes.

Took the plunge and ordered a BisonTrack suit. I used their Black Friday bundle deal to get a set of Thor2 gloves as well. I have the Thor 1s and like them so figured I'd get the heavier duty ones as well.

Now I need to figure out the colors.

Rode it a lot over the past month since I sold my old truck and have been patiently waiting for my new one to show up. Riding to work when it is in the 20's is not that enjoyable. Pretty much off the road for the season now after another round of snow and salt on the roads.

At the very least look into a heated jacket liner and heated gloves. I've had them for over 10 years now and they make a HUGE difference in your comfort level. I went with Warm & Safe stuff and their dual zone wireless remote controller. This way I can set the jacket liner and the gloves to different power levels. Batteries in the wireless controller last a full year. Even if controller batteries die the unit defaults to 30% power so you have some heat.

I have thought about heated gear over the years, but when it gets below freezing then I should not be on 2 wheels. This time of year going to and from work in the dark along with deer season and black ice can be treacherous.

In the 20's for my rides yesterday. For some reason my heated seat is no longer working on low, so I'm either roasting my nuts or freezing them..
