Buddy text me last night and said bring the kids over Saturday evening and let them whack some does, he said kill all you want. Tuesday he saw 15 in the field he was in and had pics of 8 in his other field. I said 2 will be fine for an evening, I have to skin them :D

Son wants to shoot one with my 30-06 that I haven't hunted with in years, need to let him shoot it to make sure it's still on.

Still sick as shit today!!! Only got out Monday and been shitty since. Was hoping to not go outside at all today except to get the mail, but it is snowing and blowing like shit!!!! Township plow just created a 12-16" wall at the end of the driveway and wife only has a 2-wheel drive SUV now. Also, I typically snow blow 6-10 other neighbor's driveways (I'm a nice guy). likely will wait till early afternoon to do them before the working stiffs have to come home.

Hopefully, I won't get any sicker and be able to hunt tomorrow thru Sunday, if needed.

now days i do it on the smoker with casings,,but this batch just added some liquid smoke. anyway, mix deer and pork and seasoning, and one ounce water per pound. work it like making a burger in 1lb balls. use double aluminium foil, roll into a log, twist the ends as Tight as you can to get rid of any air bubbles, bake at 285 degress till its @160. ice bath or hang outside if its cold to stop the cooking. thats it. take them out of foil, wipe the grease off. then roll in spices if you want. its done. key is use two sheets of foil so it doesnt bust when twisting it tight:thumbsup:

    How much shipped? :hungry:

Kidding, looks great though! I just sat out 12 lbs of burger meat to thaw this morning. Hoping to make next years batch of jalapeno/hot pepper cheese snack sticks over the weekend. May even try to make some brats with some bigger casings if I can find some good "recipes" for which spices to add.

what in the hell is going on with all this wind. I'm having to attempt to survive low to mid 20's and 10-25 mph winds in a tree stand, lemme know where the fun went to?
side note hot hands toe warmers, can i just put em in my boot, I have darn tough socks, and I dont wanna void any warranties??

I stick the toe warmers to the insoles of my boots and never to my socks. Works just fine
