Hi all, quick question: can I put up a Christmas wreath where the TSS sensor is up front on the grill of my truck?

My truck is a 2021 SR5 Tacoma (Trail Edition). I'm worried the wreath might cause the radar sensor precollision system to go off thinking there's an imminent crash about to happen as I drive. Figured I'd ask here before risking anything. Thanks for replies in advance and if there's any other information needed from me, please ask away.

Only one way to find out!
Worst that will happen is you will get the “PCS unavailable” warning that pops up when the sensor gets covered with snow or mud. It’s not going to lock the brakes up on you or anything

    It’ll most likely disable it.
    Is it worth it?

Disabling is fine. I just don't want it to go off while I'm driving on the highway and lock up the brakes or something dramatic like that.

I do a wreath every year in front of the TSS. Never had any issue. But have not set the cruise control with it on, mainly cause I don't do much freeway. So, I think you're OK without any issues. Give it a try.

Awesome, thank you for the prompt response. I don't plan to use the cruise control either while I have the wreath up. I rarely use it anyway.

Here are ways to show your holiday cheer while staying away from the TSS.

Been doing this for the past 3 years (yes I take it off after Xmas) and no issues and I have traveled with it using cruise control.

It won’t. Worst case, it gives you the dash light and won’t do the radar cruise control.
