Intact though. I think it’s unlikely it would have damaged anything in the engine bay.

You know what's crazy?

All this time we've known you, you've been your own worst enemy looking up and reading about all these shit situations happening to other people.

Now you get to post about your own experience (unfortunately). It's a shit situation but you can see everyone here is trying to help.

 

Would it be possible to get it to start up and idle in this condition, just to verify the engine is still good? Clutch start button maybe?

I'd rock the shit out of a Taurus SHO with that Yamaha engine

Could make some horrible noises from rubbing but I'd imagine it'll start

 

Wouldn't hurt anything but maybe the trans tho right? assuming the clutch is still engaged

 

Wdym rubbing, like the driveshaft?

 

Yeah I'm going to assume the clutch is stuck engaged but who knows if that input shaft is even still fully keyed into it

 

Well the bellhousing doesn't look like it's super well attached to anything so that transmission is probably sitting on the input shaft which means it can kind of just rub on whatever spinning in there

 

Nvm I forgot it ain’t got no gas in it

Didn't you tell me it ran until you turned the key off? If it kept running long enough for you to pull over and shut it off yourself, the engine is almost certainly fine.

Even without gas, if it turns over, it's probably fine.

 

I think he thinks that the bell housing just cracked in a whim.... Lol it it shifting between gears in neutral tells nothing.

 

I tired cranking after I pulled over, which I probably shouldn’t have with the gas leaking out, but I remember it just clicking and not turning over iirc. Maybe all the gas had leaked out already though.

 

Im just hoping the tcase gears are still ok.

Well i think i have some answers.... just sitting at idle in the first few minutes in the menu of the game.
