    Happy Friday. I woke to a noise that sounds like part of a tree being dragged across the roof, I'm afraid to look.

    I had no idea that you could use a stock spring with the 5100's, I always thought that you have to use a smaller diameter coil over type of spring. I need to replace the struts on the Taco, the lightly used TRD OR struts that I installed 3 years ago are dying. I have 4600s on the T4R and have been happy with them.

    It seems a little bit better, I think. It still sounds kind of like the rear window is open though.

    I read a post in one of the sound deadening threads where a guy said he filled the vents with breathable foam and it fixed the noise issue while also not causing any pressure issues in the cab. I might try that.

    The pool noodle mod seems to be the best fix but I’m concerned that would just lead to a lot of rust in between the noodle and the cab.
