Ok also on another note why does my truck have no change from 1/8 th to full throttle?
Is it the computer pulling timing since the motor is knocking. The type of knock is the worn bearing kind it’s not from mechanical damage.

 

Is it the o2 sensor because at wot it has power again and at wot the o2 sensors are not used

 

Finally got around to doing the seat swap.
The outer front and rear seat brackets have to be cut off and remade and you have to use the seat belt latch off the old seat. I have it installed and wired into the trucks harness so the seatbelt light still works.
I sanded and spray painted the center console black and I am going to buy a new grey lid for it and I am going to replace the lower foam on the seat and get some mossy oak covers for both seats.

 

If anyone wants my old seat it is for sale it just needs cleaned well. It has a broken spring in the seat back from my spoiled little shit of a brother throwing a fit and kicking the seat while I was giving him a ride home from school, let’s just say he walked the rest of the way home that day. I’d take $75 for it as the upholstery is flawless

 

I left the original passenger seat as I still like having access to the back seat area as I built the sub box to where the rear passenger seat can still be used

 

Okay the new O2 showed up today and boy what a difference it made the old one must have been failing back when I got the truck as it runs better now than it ever has, it doesn’t have throttle lag anymore and it actually has enough power to accelerate on the highway.

 

The new bearings showed up today.

 

it took an hour to get that pan off.

 

i’d say that’s my damned Rod knock

 

Okay I’ve replaced all the rod bearings but didn’t find the smoking gun, I have unbolted the main girdle but it just wiggles side to side and won’t come down.
What do I have to remove to get it to come down? I don’t want to force it if it is hung up on something.

 

Okay if I Can I’m about to try and take the lip off the rear main plate to let the main girdle come down.

well, good news. Bad news. Good news is the bearings look fine. Bad news is I still don’t know where the fuck the metal shavings are coming from.

 

Whelp it’s back together and still knocking, it’s gotta be from the top end so I’m just gonna ignore it.

 

As it turns out having green rock lights is fine but the moment you put a green rock light in your bed to light it up it becomes Distracting to other drivers, but somehow the ones in the wheel wells aren’t… I don’t understand his logic but whatever, I only got a warning so it’s not so bad.

 

I’ve got 56 miles left on my clutch break in so after that you’ll get a video of it shredding tires.
It can smoke out entire city blocks.

 

Well the guy I was going to buy the donor Tacoma from sold it out from under me last week and just now told me as I ask if I could just buy the front clip since with my liability insurance nobody would lend me a trailer.

New wheels are on finally. Those adapters were a real pain to make apparently.
