If the mirrors are properly adjusted, it rarely takes more than moving your eyes.

Agree, but hard to confidently just trust mirrors...
    Should never just trust mirrors..
I get lane changing is mostly side view mirrors, just stating rear view mirror view sucks...

can’t see shit when looking over your right shoulder, large c pillar & large right rear door window pillar, high back rear seat / head rest blocking the limited out the rear window view, etc….

That’s my only complaint about this truck…

I wonder if beeping can be enabled in Techstream?

My wife has a 2020 Toyota with BSM, and no beeping.

My new Nissan Titan has BSM, if I turn on my signal to change lanes, it'll beep if there's a vehicle there. It'll also beep when backing out and someone is about to drive behind me (not the backup sensor system, that's a different tone, I think it's called cross traffic alert).

I do agree with the sentiment that we shouldn't rely on this crap. The beeping is nice, but it's like a wife, sometimes you begin to tune it out. I almost ran someone off the road a few weeks ago because both the truck was beeping and my wife was yelling and I chose to ignore both. Totally my fault! I profusely apologized to the other driver for the close call..... Seems you can't fix stupid (that'd be me)

Go to 10:17; there is a way to make the steering wheel vibrate or beep if you want...
