I would expect those temps at your place. Not here in middle Tennessee, especially in early December. Maybe in late January or February.

Gracie just stuck her head out the door again. It's been a couple hours, It's now 27° and feels like 21°, she opted to return to her spot on the couch. :pout:

Say hello to my first M36-6 left handed acme thread.

Luckily the retired guy had a threaded rod and program for it already.

I knew you have to put the boring bar upside down and run it in reverse for left handed threads.

Had a small piece for a test. First cut went okay. Then I ran the second cut and ran it forward cause muscle memory and I wasn’t thinking. Messed the tool up, oops. Had to regrind it by hand and reset.

After I did that, I put a lockout on the forward button.

After multiple passes creeping up, it fits!

Took the wife's car in for some suspension work that I don't have equipment to do. They just called to say the bolts broke on disassembly and new ones won't be here till next week:spending:

Thank you @six5crèéd for this tremendous & intimidating honor. :humble:

@PzTank after great deliberation :argue: between myself and super executive esteemed prize dumpster vacant lot (cough) warehouse coordinator @StayinStock
we have developed an exciting prize package* for you.

    Firstly:

As you have an interest in the space program we have some genuine:

    :rocket::rocket::rocket: ROCKET FUEL :rocket: :rocket::rocket:

    86755298-rust-metal-oil-barrel-in-junk-yard.jpg

Reputedly from the famed and historic ground breaking sky breaking Apollo Space program.

...at least that is what the guy said about the liquid in these unlabeled barrels, Bob said he had an honest face -- behind the dark glasses, hoodie & face mask...

    The dude:

    1000_F_556174338_w5uFYaHq7bwwV9rgSMv29FhvWpHYNUqx.jpg

    Secondly:

As you also wish to support the "dark sky" effort we felt you would be the best custodian for ten cases of used lamps - they apparently are "Mercury" brand, so they must have been made by Ford -- you are assured of top quality. **

    51YFctFFATS._AC_SL1500_.jpg

Although used the gentleman who we got them from assured us they were only slightly used, he said he changed them because they were dusty. As he was an actual professional custodian by trade this sounds reasonable.

    Professional:

    p9yw5h.jpg

And finally (as if this wasn't enough):

As this poll was in regard to financial responsibility it was decided that something of actual cash value was appropriate.

A gift card  an actual $500 gift card, brand new*** -- from that notable sporting goods supplier Meadow & Creek which is very similar to another popular store.

    :woot::woot::woot:

    images.jpg

Thank you for your participation and enjoy your prize package!

*Taxes, fees, delivery, set up, activation, disposal, storage, environmental impact fees, legal fees, penalties, fines, fuel surcharges & liability are all on the poor sap who receives this crap stuff exciting package!

I couldn't think of a foot note but had to have one for literature continuity purposes - I'm a volunteer so go kick rocks if you don't like it.

    Activation may be required ****

Who are we kidding -- it is required, you ain't gettin' no $500 out of this outfit.
If someone was dumb enough to donate that kind of cash we would have spent it already -- sorry bud. :notsure:

    I’m humbled by the generosity.

The rocket fuel will be put to good use in either 1) the space heater we have exhausting into a bucket of water in our kitchen or
    2) as the base for my pop up fluid film business - quantity limited, act fast now!

Sorry to say, I’ll be regifting the bulbs to my TWSS who lives clear across the country from me

The situation with the gift card seems very simliar to a call I got earlier today. A guy called after I clicked on a link in an email that caused the blue screen of death. Said I just needed to give him my credit card and social security numbers.. I’m not gonna let my IT department know because it worked!!

Again, I am humble by the prize wherehouse annex generosity

Seeing as how the wife's car won't be done today anyway, I requested that they do a full undercarriage inspection, then I'll work through what I can of their findings while we budget for what I can't do. Lemons-lenonade haha

I give my wife a couple of bucks every pay period and she (allegedly) puts it in savings and pays all of our bills with her money.
Oddly enough...if I ask her how much she has in her 401k she just says :notsure:....she's never looked at it.
I look at mine almost daily.:anonymous:
