Anyone looking at this deal be careful. It shows the blower with 2 5AH batteries for 199. Those batteries are not big enough to run that blower.
    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-FUEL-120-MPH-500-CFM-18V-Brushless-Cordless-Battery-Powered-Leaf-Blower-with-Two-5-0Ah-Batteries-and-Charger-3017-20-48-59-1852B/331592714
I think it’s another old battery dump on their part so be careful what you order. Some people are just steering out in the red zone and this is a let down for them. A friend did this (being a Dewalt owner) and said the blower runs for 5 minutes then the batteries overheat. He wasn’t aware (or more accurately he didn’t read the specs) that the unit required bigger batteries. So he emails Milwaukee and they say to get an 8AH or 12 Forge.

It runs fine for small jobs on the 6AH as well.

I only run the larger batteries on the blower. It will, and most certainly does eat up the batteries quickly.

the 5.0's are a little light for blowers. i've got the first-gen blower, and can easily clean most of my yard post-lawn-mowing with half an older 6.0 battery.

imo, dewalt likes to spec lower-grade batteries lots of times, equivalent to milwaukee's m18 1.5 or 3.0 batteries, which definitely would be too small for most heavier duty uses like blowers, heaters, soldering irons, etc.

doesn’t account for the newer blowers that came out after this was filmed. Dewalt has a new one that’s closer to the Ryobi.

I would probably go Ego or Ryobi before going to a dual battery Milwaukee blower for just casual use. That’s just me.

He doesn’t offer a Stihl blower in those comparisons.
My BGA86 is the best battery blower I ever used. It’s got lots of power (and yes it’s a power hog) and I use it for my driveway, patio and roof. IMO Stihl has the best yard equipment compared to the power tool kings out there. They’re spendy but last. The 36V AP system was s a keeper and the batteries last forever. I’m still using my battery weed eater from 10 years ago and I’ll never go back to 2 stroke. Except my chainsaw. I’ll never get rid of that hog. Milwaukee has some decent yard tools but imo their balance and weight can be improved. My M18 pole saw is a handful at times. I also have the hedge trimmer head for the Quick Lok and it’s even heavier. And that retarded safety flapper on the top of the handle can get gone.

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
Anyone have experience with the 8" pruning chainsaw? I'd mainly want it for doing light stuff around the yard and I'd toss it in the trunk of the ATV in case I came across a smaller downed tree blocking the trail. $279 with the Forge XC 8.0 battery right now. I think the battery would also run my M18 circular saw better than the standard XC 6.0's I currently use.

It's a pretty slick little device. I have never met a single person that hasn't liked it.

The EGO cordless blowers are awesome. I have the 650 and the 765 that I use with a stubby nozzle to dry cars after washing.

I have the M12 version and am happy with it. It's a good saw for around the yard but not a replacement for a gas saw. I mainly use it for cutting limbs to burn in the fire pit. It's nice because it can be operated with one hand while you hold the branch. For this reason, I hide it once the booze gets flowing. I've also used it for limbing pine when I get towards the smaller branches at the top.
It doesn't up cut well (top of the bar) and wants to kick back, probably because it's under powered compared to a normal saw but down cuts are fine. I've never cut anything bigger than about 6" with it but I suppose you could cut a 14-15" diameter. You may need to occasionally to let off a bit to clear the shavings when you bury the tip. The 14" top handle seems like it would be better for the ATV application. Anything I would consider the 8" for could probably be driven over or dragged off the trail.
