Saw the LAKE EFFECT snow forecasts and info this past week.
TOO much for me.
MAN, I lived in Chicago for 21 years growing up - had enough.

Going South and West to BAJA soon ....

 

Spent yesterday afternoon in the Carolina foothills.

I live in the Northern Burbs of Chicago and can’t wait to get out. My In-laws own the place in the UP, been going up there since I was 6 months old.

 

I'm a city-kid, born on the South Side - Lower West Side. Beside growing up there, I went through the winters of 77/78 and 78/79. Finished up school at NEIU and escaped to SE Arizona. I'll keep going South and West.
Had my fill of anything to do with snow and cold.
If you stay there my man, you are one very brave Taco owner ! My best to you !

 

Ditto - the snow and ice and tornados and rain and bugs and flies and mold -
Moved to the SouthWest and can't stand to go back that way.
Not even sure if I'll attend my parents funerals ( the sooner the better.! )....

That bright patch in the sky above the orange Taco is almost the center of our galaxy, The Milky Way. Pretty much in the constellation of Sagittarius some Scorpius.
If you remember, where in BC was this shot taken?

 

Really !!!
I try not to go east of the Rio Grand or north of the Arizona border, 37* N latitude.
Almost all this territory was Mexico at one time, huh.
My taco says MFG in Guanajuato, SA, so she likes it down here.
We're currently suffering under a cloudless, partial moon sky with 59*F. Tomorrow, same, forecast of 73*F/47*F. Just me and my taco - **suffering** down here ....
