I am planning on lifting my taco, I bought the 5100s Bilstein (I think) that are customizable up to a 2.5" lift. I also got some 1.5" Rear blocks. I would like know how goofy would a 2.5" lift on stock tires look? I am planning on buying bigger tires eventually.

People lift to clear bigger tires.
People lift to clear off road which includes bigger tires.

    blocks are goofy.

5100 also rode like shit when I had them.
Market dictates the value. When I went to sell them I couldn’t get $50 for them. I struggled to find anyone to take them off my hands for free.

a thin non res shock would look goofy in the year 2024 when street sedans come stock with thicker shocks and a reservoir.

There’s nothing wrong with 5100’s. Many, many, many members run them without issue including myself. However, the ride will be stiff with stock springs in one of the preloaded lift positions. It would be better, for ride quality, to use a lift spring on them.

A lifted truck with stock tires looks goofy. Either do it all at once or not at all.

Lift isn’t needed to clear upsize to 31” and possibly not even 33”.

    4runner I believe comes on 33” stock.

Don't worry about the naysayers. Lift it and add the bigger tires as you can afford to.
Don't let the internet guilt you into spending thousands of dollars on a lift.
If you're going to hard wheel your rig, spend the money on a 'proper lift'. If not, upgrade as you can afford to!

3" lift with stock wheels and tires | Tacoma World Not a ton of pics in the thread, but it applies and the pics in there actually don't look horrible for the most part if it's a temporary thing.
