This is exactly why I have to stay 1/10th. My old eyes and arthritis would make that difficult at best, but more likely impossible. :annoyed:

The yeti jr score. Just barely smaller. Does come with smart spekteum 2s. Need to buy a charger or cut the leads and solder

Started the build. Some of the parts won't be here until tomorrow. I really see no issue with moving slow on this. 2 hours just for the front axle. A good chunk of that was just going through the instructions and making sure the microscopic screw it called for was what was actually in my hand.

Side question. I believe the frame is resin material.
    Using Tamiya paint.
Paint is a week out and the local guy is never at his shop, I stopped in twice today.
I have black and white Tamiya for plastic. I have given it two coats of black, just to get a shine on it and smooth/fill in the resin.
I also have red, orange, yellow, the bright colors for polycarbonate that would look really cool on the frame. Can that be applied over the plastic paint without melting it?
    Short version,
Can PC paint be applied over a plastic/resin model that has been coated in plastic safe paint first?
Edit, nevermind, I found some IHC Red that should be ok.

I got the paint and the last of the parts for my BB-01 build:

I wasn't planning on getting the Exotek stuff but I wanted free shipping so I added them to my cart. I think this is a 100% full option build now before I even open the box to build the base kit.

Was able to use the original Mini Z led's, all wired parallel. At first I only had tail and no head lights. Removed the tail wire and the headlights came on. Had to add the resistor to the tail lights, which dimmed them and turned on the headlights and it looks like stock now, minus the actual brake light function.

Ordered a set of aluminum front cv's as I'm now spitting them out. :D

Alright got the IR40 onto the Ascent 18 last night and some 72mm HXH Pins. The limiting factor with it stock was the tires always rubbing on the body and I wasn’t ready to trim it so this was a good easy solution. Aside from the increase in COG, this thing is like a cheat code. The extra ground and body clearance makes a huge difference. Might be time to paint the IR40 body though…

Holiday shipping has caused a delay of one day. Servo won't be here until tomorrow. Maybe. Bah Humbug. :p
Gives the paint another day to cure.

Been working on an old project. This is a hot bodies TC-D. Converted from awd to rwd using parts from a bunch of other companies so it actually has a decent Ackerman. Will get the battery mount and the rest of the electronics in it tomorrow.

Hunting down all the aluminum parts in a single color is such a chase for RC drift. I gave up on the mst and the rdx has driven so well stock I haven't felt a need to tune on it.

it’s funny how many in our group either started with rock crawlers and ended up getting into drifting or vice versa. A lot of it is just really good throttle control and finding additional time to hang out and have fun. Between the kiddo and I we have a few different rc’s. And I have a decent selection of drift chassis as my interest has pushed that direction.

That looks great! Kicking myself for not getting one of these when they were available. I had an 87 4Runner so it caught my eye when they came out. I always end up talking my way out of things because I start asking myself how much I would use it. After seeing some of the collections on this page I have to get myself out of the mindset that I have to use all of them each time I go out.

I think the 4Runner is one of their best sellers. They come in stock every once in a while and disappear pretty quick.

Edit: My nieces Rubicon before I shipped it back out.
