I’m looking at a 2002 with 200k miles on it, it has a trd supercharger and has had one for a while, the truck appears very clean with a solid frame, it has some other things like the 7th injector system and 4.88 gears, I don’t know a lot about these trucks but I would like to get one, how long do these things last supercharged ? It’s 16k currently

You’re the one buying, if all the boxes are checked off, 16k isn’t too bad considering the upgrades the vehicle has. Any picture? Where from?

Supercharge is maintenance free IMO if the truck is running right under boost.

    I would feel comfortable paying $16k if it’s 4x4.

If the DC is a TRD-OR model, test the elocker. If it’s 4x4, test the 4wd system in both H & L range.

Agree. Some tasteful mods: ARB bumper, PIAA mounted bumper lights, winch with Factor55 flat link, ditch light, nice camper shell, looks lifted with aftermarket wheels and maybe 33s. According to OP has 4.88, supercharger, and URD 7th injector.

That is a good looking set up. If it drives like you want and passes mechanical inspection go for it. The supercharger is a nice addition and low maintenance. It has a small cooling system to keep an eye on and snout oil needs changing infrequently. With tall gears and a supercharger your milage will not be great but it will be more fun. :)

This is a worry. If the frame was replaced then all the connectors and bolts under the truck might be crusty and miserable to work on. Need to check that undercarriage so you know what you're getting into.

It's a truck. MPG will suck. Period.

Drive it, do a hard stop. My truck dove really hard with that arb bumper. I had to go with 883 springs. Also check the rear frame section, that's usually where the problems are
