I can't believe I had a 4k offer on the table for my truck from a dealer just a month ago, but stupidly instead of taking it, I put 1500 more dollars into the rack and various other seals, and here we are now. I'd probably have a down payment for a house if I'd never got into these trucks in the first place. Imagine if I'd put the 5 grand for my original '98 rust bucket into bitcoin or the stock market back in 2021. If I'd bought GME options with it, I'd probably be retired. I can't believe what a moron I am.

    Drinking early today?
    1. Life is t fair and is expensive.
    2. Down payment on a house is more than you have spent on this truck, plus what was your alternative mode of transportation? Nothing is free.
    3. We all think "man had I just done X life would be so much better". Whether it's money, girls, career. Enjoy where your at and find happiness with what you have.

I didn’t even need a vehicle to get to work so it was stupid of me to cling onto it. I wasn’t even into off-roading anymore anyway. Oh well, at least somebody with use for it can get it back on the road down in SD now.

It's not a big deal in life man, relax. You don't see me complaining about how I lost $100k in my divorce, no longer can afford a house, and started from fucking nothing this year. Why? Because it's just part of life and you can either dwell on the negatives (which you're prone to) or keep grinding, keep pushing yourself and be alive. Just some food for thought.

Yea its just frustrating to think how I could have so easily prevented my current circumstances and I continue to fail to learn from my mistakes.

Seems more like it's a lack of timeliness than it is property decision making. You hem and haw until both decisions have soured

Easily prevented? How do you know that if you took a different path that there wouldn't be different results?

Exactly my point. You could have changed paths and found yourself in a worse situation, so there is no benefit to dwelling in the "what ifs". Just understand your situation and put yourself in a path to make it better. It's going to be ok, life will work out. It always does.

Perfect person for it. With his BMW he is accustomed to vehicles that leak fluids like an old dodge.

it drives me nuts that basically none of the parts washer options are rated for oil based solvents out of the box. gonna have to spend another $150 on a solvent rated pump right off the bat
