Chasing down a knock over bumps today and a brake squeal. Looks like a bad tie rod end (boots are trashed too). Brake squeal was hardware rubbing the rotor kind of an odd find but a welcome one. Tie rod ends will have to wait ~500 miles but I'm sure it'll be fine. Anyone have any recs? I am thinking those '555' ones.

Pretty sure oem OTRs are reasonably priced. Moog inners have done fine for me.

Damn I love your door card setup. Good idea with the net.
What kind of material are you using for the main part?

It's an automotive grade fabric (UV resistant) that I have in other places in the interior wrapped over 3/4" MDF. Stiffens the doors quite a bit and adds noise isolation

Completely replaced. Used original as a template. Tbh it's a very tight fit, 1/2 would give more leeway and still provide benefit, but not available in my area

Since I have 3rd party mass backed carpet also I had to remove my kick panels for now until I can trim it or the door has too much resistance without slamming it closed

Who makes the carpet you got? Doing a full sound deadening on the interior has been on my list of things to do for a while.

Thanks, had it a few years now. In hindsight I probably shouldn't have gotten straight black as it's hard to keep clean, but the nicest part about it is that it had enough excess on the passenger side to flip up and around the top of foot well so I have it rigged up to block most of the noise that comes in under there, including the blower motor.
Driver side foot well is mainly what's left to figure out now that my doors are mostly done... valve tick just shoots straight through there :/

I have a vinyl floor kit sitting around, but I like that that carpet kit comes with the deadening attached if you option it that way.

Ya it makes for a tough fit on some areas but I think it's worth it
