Yep, going to get a 2nd cup of coffee in me while waiting for the temps to get a bit higher… then out to rewire the N2 remote starter. For now, gonna get the Christmas tree out of storage and up.

From what I gather from James and his team @N2DesignsInc seems my truck has the “Toyota Connect” system installed. I believe it’s where Toyota can remote link to the vehicle for data and service if I were to allow and subscribe to the feature. But since I have the feature, it won’t allow the remote starter to keep the truck running. Seems that it thinks there’s a fault and doesn’t recognize their system, so the two are basically battling each other. James was able to quickly determine what was going on and was able to get me an override harness sent out to hopefully fix the issue. The first kit was a breeze to install, let’s hope this goes as smoothly!!

Winter is here and I’m dying to get this starter with “key takeover” feature up and working properly… game changer!!

 

Good morning! Yeah, today looks like the only nice warm day without rain and it's so nice to get a break from the cold.

 

I gotta break down kids trampoline for winter and finish putting up decorations outside. Wife doesn’t want it up during winter. Guess it’ll last a few years longer this way too

N2 harness installed. Whole job easy to replace old harness and install new. Kind of a pain to get the one pigtail routed up behind the console to the passenger side kick panel. Worst part was fighting the trim pieces back into place… those little shit plastic plug/clips suck! They are all but one time use the way they bend and warp.

Either way… my work here is done!

…on to the tree! Some how, the wife is dragging me out to shop for new ornaments. Ugh!!!

And another turtle/tortoise lover! My partner has a sulcata tortoise that lives with us and is quite huge.

 

Hell yeah, once it got above 45° I got me fat arse outside and worked on the deck.

New adventure Friday night, spent 4.5 hours at Carroll Hospital for kidney stones. One of those suckers is 4-5mm- pretty sure I'll know if that one moves around. Have to follow up with the Doc tomorrow.

 

With all the talking @Taco1004 has been doing about remote start stuff it reminds me that I have an N2 designs kit for a 2019 (automatic) push button start. It's looking to find its way to a new home (for frreeeeee) if anyone can use it.

 

Dang, sorry to hear that. Did they use ultra sound to try and break it up some?
