Since 2012 that I can confirm, but I bet it was here when or shortly after the debut of the 2G

First off, I know you have zero experience driving in my local territory. You don't get high centered in muskeg. The entire bottom of both frame rails between the front and rear tires are on the ground with all four tires in deep soft muddy bottomless muskeg. If you are stupid enough to spin the tires once forward momentum stops, you are clueless. Add a moose or a few deer to the box and the problem esculates exponentially especially if the weather gets near or over 32f.

This isn't a 3G belly flop on a rocky incline where you get high centered at one point.

Haven't you figured out yet that this is the 4G thread and all my posts you qouted were with respect to the 4G. All of it was mentioned by Tinkerer's 4G vs 3G suspension comparison video. Go watch it again.

You keep talking about your 3G bellflop and how your 3G articulates with a sway bar connected. Please get a clue, the discussion is about the 4G CV axle and the OPs misfortune of the CV axle seperating. I've added to it by posting a video showing how articulation increases on the 4G with a sway bar disconnect and how Toyota impoved the CV axle to handle additional drive line angles associated with additional droop along with strengthening the CV joint.

At one point in this thread you seemed to be aware of what I was trying to provide to 4G owners reading along. I also provided Tinkerers video comparison along with pictures of both, 3G and 4G, CV axles to make the point very clear about the 4G axles improving max articulation with travel and strength.

Just an FYI, it now seems that the 4G TRD sport and TRD OR use the same axle according to the Toyota website. Look it up and learn something or look at the part number on the OPs axle that is being replaced in this thread and compare it to the 4G TRD OR replacment axle part number.

Report back with the axle part numbers for the 4G Sport and TRD OR so I can say you were wrong again. If they are not the same then I'm wrong.

WRONG! Sway bar disconnect has significant impact on the amount of articulation.

one can always learn even if you like doing donuts at an intersection

OK...read your update. None of those repair parts change the suspension geometry, and that's what needs to happen to prevent this from happening again. Either ICON blew it with their geometry calcs, or your truck is bent. Figure out which and fix it or you'll be back with more of the same pictures.

OP are you going to take another chance after replacing the CV or try swapping the lift components? :playball:

I'm not bashing anything, just pointing out the geometry problem that hasn't been solved. Could be a 1st gen, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 4th, Chevy, etc....if point A and point B can get farther apart than shaft length C....yer gonna have a bad day.

If you're ordering parts, and the parts don't fit, it sounds like you're just ordering the wrong parts:notsure:. Since all engineers are wrong, and you know better, why don't you go do their job? You're obviously better at it, and it pays more o_O.
