Due to the recent developments of Icon products meant for the 2nd Gen....and not actually fitting, makes me leary of trying any of their new products.

@SUMOTNK yeah, I just ended up going with OEM since I didn’t find any specific information on them.

It's a very new product, so new that Icon has only renders on its listing page. There's also Apex Chassis tie rods which cost 50% more but has been out slightly longer with good reviews by 4Runner folks: https://apexchassis.com/collections/apex-chassis-parts/products/kit400-toyota-tacoma-tie-rod-kit

To me, the biggest problem with both products is they aren't compatible with the Tundra rack if you decide to upgrade.

Do you know if this is the case for the Solo Motorsports Tundra rack for the 2nd gen tacoma? I have an Icon XD tie rod installed along with a Solo Motorsports Tundra rack; however, I've been plagued with VSC/traction control issues.

^To be clear, with the Tundra rack, you'll want to ream the spindle to the next larger size with a taper reamer (commonly sold by off-road shops like Trail Gear) and run Tundra tie rods. Tundra tie rods are much beefier than the upgraded Tacoma tie rods from Icon or Apex, because Tacoma tie rods are constrained by the smaller Tacoma hardware size.

Thank you for this info! I'll bring it up with my installer.

^Ah you already have it. Looks like the Solo rack is machined for standard Tacoma tie rods. In that case your Icon tie rods are fine. They aren't related to your VSC issues.
