I’ve always worked new construction, but side jobs were remodels. Every house I lived in was always a remodel candidate, paint, new bathroom, new kitchen. Oh, and a new roof

I hear you.. my house was a foreclosure. What wasn't intentionally damaged by the PO's is just worn/in need of replacement because of lack of maintenance/botched patches. ( I can't call a single thing that I've found a "repair"- that would imply that someone had knowledge/skills to do something correctly)

I'm just slowly plucking away at my mess, one project at a time. If I would have had the budget, I would have parked a couple 20 yard dumpsters in the front yard after settlement and gutted the place, it would have made life easier.

 

My house was an auction, so pretty much what you see is what you get

For the most part it is pretty solid. Mostly just ugly as sin when I moved in. Previous owner chain smoked and had candles so that was an adventure painting everything. Bathroom needs a gut job, but little by little stuff is getting done.

 

Hah, I got the same ugly ass laminate backsplash. I plan on doing a simple tile job once I figure out a new countertop.

Grandaughter in Buxton got on a sled for the first time yesterday. Momma said it was all of an inch of snow, but momma's been waiting.

 

So I've got a project on the horizon, and started a conversation some of ya'll may have experice with, being motorsports fans and is some cases motorcyclists. Please feel free to chime in.
