    That's what I did when I was driving 160 miles a day to get to the dealership and back. (Dropping the kiddo off to the north then heading Way South to work... Wasn't the greatest setup)

    And nobody's engine blew up at these different intervals?
    My 1st gen was over 220k and some would rather not know the frequency or lack their of, oil changes I did on that.

    Moral of the story.
    Change your oil.

    I'm not in love with the canister filters, either. But, if it actually ends up producing less waste for landfills, I'm ok with them.


    My '19 is at around 127K the last time I looked. I'm averaging around 22K/yr, which is pretty good considering I put an additional 25-30K/yr on my work truck.


    Doesn't the 3rd gen require 0W-20? That's only available in full synthetic, if I'm not mistaken. If I am mistaken, I'm sure someone will correct me. :D



    Fun! We should probably discuss fuel octane and politics next.

    Nope. I just did a black stone test on my tundra after about 12500 on an oil change (I was on a roadtrip) and a significant amount of towing. They said I could run to 15k or more based on the oil life left.

    I run synthetic 5W30 in both trucks. Keeps em happy.

    The sport because it's the off road truck and gets warm while working

    The off road because it's the daily and has a timing cover seep. Slightly thicker oil seems to keep it at bay
