Want to offer me 15K for everything inside my home? The only things that would be worth more to me are things the insurance money can't replace.

IF you need to use your insurance to replace items - you have to prove you had a $4,000.00 tv or a $4,000.00 bed - they won't just take your word for it  Wonder how much they'll depreciate all your stuff :notsure:

 happy Monday... supposed to be :rain: here and boy do we need it

My fault, I did not read the entire page just the top portion. Skim reading gets me into trouble quite often. :)

I have concerns too but the time saved is another factor into the convenience. When Ohio first adopted EZ Pass, on the turnpike a toll gate would actually come down to stop you before allowing you to proceed. That stupid process was eliminated a few years ago now. The Ohio Turnpike has since installed high speed EZ Pass lanes, thank goodness, the first high speed EZ Pass lanes I used were on the PA turnpike. PA seems to be more progressive with moving traffic than other states.

One of the benefits of purchasing and registering consumer items from reputable places is they keep records of your purchases for a long time.

Good morning. Off to the gym then visit my cousin today. A light day as far as stuff goes. Yesterday brought warmer temps and today will have warmer temps plus rain.

Good morning! Mondays after a glorious farm weekend have me looking forward to the day I can stop making donuts.

Looks like I will have a solid offer today from the other company. We've pretty much nailed down the base and commission rates. Managing a small sales team, looking forward to the mentoring aspect and seeing new applications. If I accept the offer in the next couple days it looks like I will be able to have some time off at the end of the month and beginning of January.

    Morning all:

    Sue!
A stupid example, if I have a stash of 10,000 rifle primers that I paid $10 a thousand for, and now cost $100 a thousand to replace them, I wonder what an insurance company would pay to replace them, or the 5-600 brand new .350 Rem. Mag brass or 5-600 brand New 6.5 Rem. Mag. brass, or the 13 boxes of factory 6.5 Rem. Mag. ammo. Same goes for a lot of other things like a spare 58-6,000 RPM redline tach and a brand new universal clock for my 66 Impala, both are in the $1,500 range today, and there's a lot of other "stuff" that I accumulated that has appreciated signifyingly, and in a lot of cases would be extremely hard to replace, then there's family heirlooms that would be irreplaceable.
I definitely wouldn't want a total loss on my house, I would take a pounding, and I mean a pounding!
I think if most people took an "inventory" of their "stuff", they may be surprised at what they have, I only mentioned a few, there is "A LOT" more like hundreds of shad darts, tackle boxes full of lures, some no longer available, a stash of Zebco Cardinal C-4 reels, all the hunting clothing and things hunting related, and the list goes on and on!
Please don't tell me that I have too much "STUFF", like I said, the list goes on, and on, and on!

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/insurance gripers. We had to re-do all of our insurance a couple of years ago due to an unfortunate circumstance involving my wife and two very minor accidents within a shortish time period. We had two insurers; one for our daily drivers + the house + umbrella coverage, which we had been using for 35 years; the other was an auto insurer for the "toys". Both companies immediately informed us of cancellation at the next coverage date! Didn't matter how long we had been with them, didn't matter that we had never filed a claim with one of the insurers. Boom -- dropped. We now have, let's see, 5 or 6 different policies for this and that, plus we're paying more. It's a quagmire, and the state oversight agencies are nothing more than a rubber stamp for the insurance industry. At least here in PA.

Speaking of EZ-Pass, I have had one for quite a few years. I got it back when I was commuting from PA to NJ every day and it saved me a ton on tolls. Plus, at least on the parts I drive, the PA Turnpike is well maintained and has been receiving a constant stream of upgrades. It's a preferred choice if I'm in need of an interstate. I-78, I-81, I-80, I-95, they're all some greater or lesser degree of nightmare by comparison. I don't mind paying a few bucks to avoid the worst of the crazies. THAT SAID, they've gone completely over to electronic toll collection now, and the price has doubled. We just used the PA Turnpike to come home from Thanksgiving dinner at my sister's place and the toll was $14.30; a few years ago it was half that. The bridge toll in the meantime is the same as it was back when I was commuting regularly. Go figure.

Went to the gas station today and got gas for 3.99. Woohoo!! First time in years it’s gone below $4.00. I’m ecstatic. Filled all my vehicles, and my boat. Going back later and filling 55 gallon drums and 5 gallon buckets, mason jars and every other vessel I can find. Life is good here in expensive California. Gotta go, don’t know how long this will last:)

Insurance companies are nothing more than legal theft!!!

:fingerscrossed: Hope it works out Jim

 hope it went well and she's feeling better.

Hi Carl, yup, wonder what they would do.... Probably say you needed a separate policy for them

Legal extortion is all it is, IMHO. My rates have gone up since I retired with no paid out claims....

    evening gentlemen....
