You should probably add a link to whatever post you made.

Is there a way to have the DRL band off while headlights on? I have 2017 TRD OR.

Maybe there’s some wiring guru out there who could do it but I never saw that as an option in the installation instructions. I would think it’s not possible but I could certainly be wrong.

Would I regret switching out my OEM LED's, just to get amber DRL's? I think they look great, but if I am going to lose performance I will pass. Let me know what you think.

Love my Morimotos with amber DRLs but would stick with the OEM LEDs if I had them to begin with. OEM is probably better performing, although I've got no complaints with the performance of the XBs. I didn't come from OEM LEDs.

I’m looking for some advice on whether to get amber or white DRLS. I saw a post saying the DRLs switch to amber when in a certain position?
My dilemma is I like amber as DRL, but white on white led looks better with the low beam. Would love to somehow have both

Only works on sr/sr5 because the drl on base models is the turn signal

Have you guys seen the new XB EVO headlights yet!!??

I didn't even know about these until they dropped me an email yesterday!! Apparently I'm one of the first lucky few that's gonna get their hands on a set! I ordered the amber xb leds for black friday, which were subsequently on back order, and they just dropped this email on me! That was quite the surprise! Especially since they announced these just days ago and I didn't even notice!!

    Screenshot_20241214_020427_Yahoo Mail.jpg

    Like, what!!?? :yes::taco::yay::woot:

I'm pretty stoked, to say the least!! I just recently upgraded from my 1st gen taco to a basically pristine (and bone stock) '16 Inferno 4x4 not long ago, and the mod bug is in full force.. I've already purchased and recently installed the morimoto tails and 3rd brake light too (along with a few other misc mods) and have many, many more mods to install yet. But I think these new evo's are REALLY going to set it over the top!

Would also like to say, having purchased quite a few items from The Retrofit Source over the years (mostly the morimoto products), I've always been super impressed with their products as well as their customer service and dedication to their customers. These guys rock and keep on chugging out simply amazing products and amazing service... So thank you, TRS, I will be (im)patiently waiting for these to arrive, because i can't WAIT to get them! Lol. I'll try and keep you guys posted once they arrive. Looks like they're aiming to ship this first run out to us the last week of december/first week of January.

    Just a little disclaimer:
Im not sure how available these are yet as it looks like only a few select people were chosen to be a part of their first run on these, which appears to be their most recent gen2 orders that are pending(and were on back order? Idk). Also not sure if they're available for purchase(doesn't look to be yet) or pre-order.. So you may have to wait to get your hands on these for a little bit!! I'm NOT in collaboration with them or anything like that regarding these, so I can't provide any more details other than what's shown here! I'm sure they'll release more details in due time.. I just wanted to share my experience and give ya'll a heads up on what's to come, for those that arent aware of these yet. Especially for anyone looking to purchase some xb's soon.. You may just want to hold out for these!

I would suggest you follow these guys here for future updates, for those that are interested.

Ok, just installed my new XBs on my third gen taco. Here’s the issue:
Only one of my three projector beams is working on the drivers side.
17 Tacoma TRD Off-road, OEM lights were factory halogen with LED DRL.
Initially, only the passenger headlights were turning on.
After careful review of the install videos and some suggestions from the Tacoma World Forums, I decided to reopen the LED driver located at the bottom of the housing and found a that the brown wire to the four pin connector was not connected at all.
I reseated the wire to the connector and now only one of the two low beams projectors are turning on.
