    Happy birthday!

I just finished floors in our basement before Thanksgiving. Still need to trim it all before i can say I'm done. I spent Saturday on a 40ft ladder fixing siding. Need a bigger ladder to reach the peak though.

    Here's a topic for ya'll

    Cerakote.

Anyone applied it to their exhaust? Why? and did it do what you'd hoped?

How does it hold up cosmetically?

I want to go look at this Royal Enfield Continental GT650. It's not too far from me. It's a 2023 that never sold. They're asking 9K, but that is way over priced(for me). I know how much that MK fairing kit and exhaust costs. That bike is like 6K new.

Love the old school racer look of this.

I've been watching YT vids about them. If they'd sell it for under 7K, I'd probably buy it. Since it wouldn't be the only bike.....reliability might not be too bad :D

Normally I would feel the same about RE reliability but from talking to a few folks it sounds like they've made huge strides in that direction. I was behind a guy on a Continental GT a couple of weeks back and with an exhaust on it that thing sounded sweet. Looked like it handled well as I wasn't exactly reeling him in.

The one I posted has a S&S 2 to 1 on it. I just love the old racer look.

At least it's not a Tacoma, nothing like a good salt scrub to make the frame like new...

    @Calamity_taco

Royal Enfield has come a long way. I know a few folks with late versions (last 4 - 5 years) and they rave about them.

Style and power are completely subjective. You may not appreciate the look or feel they're underpowered, but reportedly, quality is excellent.

3 years ago FortNine did a lab test. They sent first oil change oil from 12 brands to a lab for testing, and based their findings on the condition of the oil. I know for everyone that loves Ryan, 2 ppl want to punch him...so I won't make you watch it, but I'll include the link. To cut to the chase, here's the screen shot of the final ranking:

if you've got 7 minutes and DON't wanna punch him...

The new Bear 650 looks pretty sweet. I think they are like the Bolt/SCR. Same basic bike with a few different parts

Haven't done it to my exhaust, only on my guns, though the heat of sustained fire on a gun barrel is similar to an exhaust I believe so temperature wise it should hold up. I think there are different types of cerakotes depending on your application.

My bigger concern would be road damage causing nicks/scratches/flaking. Particularly if it's going on a truck that might kick up more gravel/rocks/dirt

i'm actually quite surprised Honda is right in the middle of the pack given their reliability.

Happy birthday to everyone who celebrated this weekend!

This would be on Moto Exhaust. You're correct about several different types. They have a 'high heat' version, and done in a matte finish. I have zero experience with it, but searching the interwebs returns some discussion compairing it to Jet Hot with good results.

Hoping others here have done it.
