Getting ready to sell 2009

Hello,
I have had this truck since it was brand new and I am looking to upgrade to a Suburban. I am trying to figure out what it is worth and see what you guys think.

2009 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab
VIN:3tmlu42n89m026812 211K miles
It always been maintained and has very few issues.
It does not drip a drop of any fluid and burn oil.
The temperature selector cant be turned all the way hot or it clicks.
The driver rear door sometimes does not unlock. (I have the little motor)
The temp/compass is out.

The frame was replaced about 4 years ago at Stevenson Toyota in Lakewood. They replaced the leaf springs LCA's and the break lines at the time also.
I had the, motor mounts, cab mounts, valve cover and timing chain cover replaced at that time.
Always consistent on all fluid changes.
The seats are mint. They have been covered since I first got the truck.
The steering rack was replaced with OEM about 5-6 months ago.
Ride Rite air bags.
Bilstein 6112 on the front, 5160's on the back. And SPC UCA'S They are less then 4 years old.
Front wheel bearings replaced in 11/22 from

Leer cap on the back.
Weather Tech floor mats.
About 10-15 K miles on Defender LTX M/S2

The body is not perfect but is probably and 8 or a 9.

Based on what I've seen out there I was thinking $16.5

I think that might be max - I would think you would get offers around $13-15k

 

That is workable... I'll get it cleaned up and get good pics...

 

I started looking at some for sale b/c my nephew wants a 2nd gen double cab. I was shocked when I started looking at prices. Makes me feel good about the value of mine!
Air bags might get varying opinions.... Also, frame will want to be photographed b/c everyone will ask for those pics, despite a frame replacement.

 

Its crazy how they hold value.. I can take pics. I also have the invoice of everything that done. Cant the dealer tell you a history on a vehicle with the vin? Provided all the work was done there?

 

10k-13k in this economy with everyone maxed out.

 

I think 10k is too low based on some of the recent work. I’ve seen 200-250k mileage SR5’s in fair-good condition at $10-12k that didn’t have 200k maintenance. If I wanted that year range and was looking I’d probably want to purchase for $12-13k and feel like a win but wouldn’t want to spend $15k. There are 2012-2015 out there with similar mileage for the $15-17k range that would become more enticing.

 

Trying to convince my wife we should buy for her. I just bought 6112/5160s, have OME heavy leafs and JBAs to install once my BAMF bumper arrives. Also have a cap on mine, but it’s manual and she can’t drive that.

I’m assuming Lakewood CO, so wrong coast for me.

 

....I have an 09' and have taken good care of my frame, and there isn't spec of rust on my yearly krowned pained panels, and the truck looks like a 5 year old truck, condition wise, when washed. ...my seats probably look new under my seat covers, which have been on since about week 2, and were covered with sheets prior, knowing the covers were coming.

...that being said, at 15 years of age, and with about 15,000 miles less than the op has, I can't see anyone paying 15 grand for mine due to the miles and age.

...I share my take due to the 'like' age and mileage.....

 

It really depends on location and condition.
Check car gurus or some similar sales platform to get an idea of what they are selling for in your zip code.

In my zip code there are currently 95 second gens for sale. The highest asking price truck is a DCSB TRD OR W/ 63xxx miles selling for 23k. Most trucks with 80-130k are asking for 15-20 and trucks with over 200k are asking for 8k-13k.

These are all dealer and lot prices and not private sale.

Yeap,that's why I said 10k-13k,tons of Tacoma's for sale now,whole different supply market then it was a few years ago.
