I've been through a few of the threads here regarding the chirp or squeaks that come from nothing conclusive (understandable for such a broad problem).
I've tightened all 3 belts, and spun the idler pulley (a/c) and alternator to check for resistance or anything (after removing the belts temporarily).
It doesn't change (to my ears) when the truck is under load, when cold vs hot, or when turning.
Any tips on tracking down this sound? I've been told it sounds like a bad bearing.

Take a paint pen and draw a line through the balancer. Let it chirp then see if the line still lines up. The rubber insulator part of the balance will spin on the inner part of the balancer and cause a belt like chirp.

I had a belt chirp at idle for like a year. New belts and idlers. One day airing my tires down I looked at my balancer and saw it wobbling. Sure enoigh replaced the balancer and it went away.
