The last "mod day" was a welding a swing gate to a truck, rock sliders to a truck, reinforcing tabs to UCA/LCA. Not so much "teaching" as there were tasks to accomplish, but observers were welcome and questions answered.

 

I think the person welding sometimes does not want others to inspect the final product too closely either ...

Its north east. And people think its a shit show mainly because of the traffic that shows up thursday through sunday.

 

Traffic sucks. From a sense of community there is no real main street or downtown everything is on the 87/260. Wildfire concerns. Personally enjoy Prescott much more than Payson

 

Kinda the same thing for here in show low too. We have a down town but its technically a highway still. But down in Payson there is nothing really "local" Its all big box store and franchise restaurants. All the same stuff you can get in any big town in the country. Pine and strawberry are pretty cool... for now.

 

Its a good time! Spent a lot of days under a hood and even showed @time623 how to begin! He picked up a welder and had his first built rear bumper down the next weekend!

Was a very busy day and to much to be able to teach the masses the tricks! Some got to play and I needed to handle the rest!
Another Mod Day will happen, just need some time to plan!

Pine has it's own issues specifically water issues. Read something last year where they lose like 50% of their water supply to cracked leaky city pipes. Also Pine has a worse fire hazard rating than Paradise CA had. Would not want to be there when the right fire starts either

Really? I have never heard that before. Although I dont mingle with the locals while there. Yes on the fire rating tho. Just make sure to have good fire insurance.
