Your 2008 FJ should be the same single-VVTI 1GR that the Tacoma has.

Unfortunately the shop could not roll them.

I got a couple of other DMs as well, so we are getting closer and closer to our 2nd group buy...

 

I have decided to get quotes from multiple other shops for the next group buy. The shop I used last time didn't have great communication, they dragged their feet getting it done, they did do a fine job in the end but I wish they'd been faster.

Also when I asked if they could do rolled threads they just condescendingly sent me an "uh, no" email with a link to the equipment they'd have to buy to do that, I guess to show me how much it would cost them to buy the stuff. I wasn't overly impressed with that attitude.

So as more people trickle in here and I get ready to start the group buy, I'll be contacting multiple shops to see what their minimum order will be and hopefully find someone who will do rolled threads at a decent price.
