    Didn't make it into the building on the side where they are making pipe sorry. I did get to work by myself today when I got there Dr appointment. Stacked coils of poly-pipe and taped so loose pieces up for the grinder.

    being that it's a dual-acting cylinder, it really should be a power up and power down circuit, with an additional float section-- either a chain connection for a physical float, or a electronic/mechanical bypass enable in the hydraulics.

    the bigger trucks i build all have dual acting lift cylinders, where most electric-powered units like western or boss are all currently single-acting (with one hose for lift), with gravity down, though all of those have an electronic float circuit as well as a chain float..

    sorry, i replied before realizing i was still another day behind.

    loosen both lift cylinder hoses at the cylinder(no more than 1 turn!). when you bump up/down, fluid should spray out--that would indicate your hoses, control, and pump are all working correctly, and it would also bleed out your lines. you can also play with swapping the left/right solenoid wire over to the lift section solenoid and then run left/right as up/down if you're not getting the fluid spill. i had one a while back that the controller itself went bad on only one section.

    as far as bleeding, the owners manual is the appropriate process. the physics is that air is lighter and more compressible than hydraulic fluid. by running 'several times' as they say, it compresses and atomizes the air, and then circulates it out of the cylinder and back to the reservoir. my companies policy is to run lift and lower stages fully 10 times to circulate the air out--same as that manuals 'several'. in small systems like that, 10 times is usually enough, though larger brand new and bone-dry cylinders can sometimes take around 20 times to really work all the air out.

    and with no load on the cylinder like that, you can also take off the hoses, and the cylinder should power up/down using air from an air compressor with a basic rubber-tip blow gun.

    Thank you for the suggestions. Forecast is for freezing rain turning to heavy rains and 1-3 inches of rain through tomorrow with 20-30 mph winds so I will not be looking at the plow tomorrow. Oh yeah, no garage either. I can get better pics as well. Getting home after dark sucks.

    I was good & tired, went to bed at 10:30 anticipating a fair nights sleep -- and popped awake at 2 AM.

    They’re not using a Cybertruck :eek::rofl:

    They have a similar rig out in Boca Chica that ferries the Starship booster from the production site to the pad. Crazy to see the dude with the controller just walking along with it…
