Plan was to do 1.5 in front and 1" in the back. If I dojt like how it looks, either lower the front to 1" or get sumo springs for the rear

That’ll probably look great! If I remember correctly, the rake from rear to front is about 1.75”, maybe 2” at most. With the lift you’re looking to achieve, you’ll still have a minimal drop in the front, so whenever the bed is loaded, you’ll still should sit fairly level. Did you get the rear shocks as well?

 

Yeah, I got the rears too but they only max extend to 1". Oddly, extreme terrain sent one shock separate from the other 3 smh.

 

My Eibach rears say they are good for 1” as well… I called them and spoke to tech department and told them I wanted to use 1.5” rear blocks. They told me I’d be fine, they say 1” as a safety precaution, but there is wiggle room.

 

Morning MD. @hyrule_trd those prices for the gas T4R were more reasonable than I expected.

Good morning. It's weirdly warm-ish outside, I guess it's the calm before the storm. I have to head to Towson to the "fruit" store at the mall to try and get my iTunes library restored. The fruit company wiped out my library and my classic iPod when I had to switch to "fruit" music, as iTunes no longer supports music.

I can't even fathom having the thought of "hey, that's a pretty good deal on a Taco"... JFC...

Surprisingly, the base SR5 price didn't change that much. It's still out of reach for me, unfortunately.

Ehhh, half frozen fingers are better- they don't bleed until you get back inside to clean up.

 

Well I took the back wall of the Goose Gear off for the 43rd time and reinstalled the OEM carpet insulation thingy. We’ll see if this helps at all…




I can’t imagine it will make much difference but it’s the only remaining variable from before my sound deadening project so I maybe it will help.

 

As a former helicopter mechanic, (and Military) I know the frozen fingers feeling all too well

So what's your current height in the front then?

 

I’m guessing around 2.5”

Don’t ask me to do math, but one thing I can tell you is that you get more than 1” of lift from a 1” block. It’s a physics or geometry thing I didn’t know about until I did my 1.5” block.

35.5” + 1.5” block = 38”

 

Well gang, if I can convince my wife, and like how it drives, the 4R OR Premium comes in Everest with a moonroof! I’ll have to add the high air intake afterwards though…

 

I’d finance a tiny bit more and get a Sequoia iForce Max

Give it 6 months and they will have dealers lined up with them just sitting there like the new Tacos

 

That’s an option but my wife has the Grand Highlander so I wouldn’t need another “large” SUV… guess I don’t really need a 4R either but ya know shiny

 

The 4Runner could be a tuff sale the SUV market is very competitive, interior room could make or break what people buy. The Sequioa already looks like the better option before looking outside of Toyota who offers a lot of SUV. Pricing on the lower end 6G will help when shopping against other Toyota and Lexus SUV.

Has production location been announced? I hear it's Japan, but I haven't seen any offical word from Toyota.

 

I didn’t notice at first but the regular OR can be painted in Everest too.

it’s pretty crazy how any similar prices SUVs there are and the higher trims are almost to the next “upgraded” SUV. I guess each has its own role but still, that’s a lot of choices.

I saw somewhere that it’s supposed to start this month for the lower trim models and early Jan for higher/hybrids

 

I was wondering where? I heard Tehara Japan which I think is where current 4Runner and GX production has been. I never heard otherwise, I just haven't seen anything from Toyota confirming that, thought they might hype that a little. I've often speculated a possible shift of some or all 4R production to Mexico.
